‘Make the difference’ our plan for Brabant.

Wednesday, March 15, there are elections in the province of North Brabant, for both the Provincial government and the Water authorities. On this flyer you will find our plans for our beautiful Brabant and everything you want to know about the elections.

“The upcoming elections, you determine the future of our country and province. What do you want? Everyone for him or herself? Or unity and togetherness? There are too many divisions in our society and they are getting worse. The Netherlands is getting harsh and cold. We need a change.

In Brabant we can. Because its who we are. By working together and caring for our neighbors we have become the country’s economic engine. But that also creates new challenges. How do we make sure that this growth is equally divided? That we make sure everyone feels part of our story?

Daily life for many Brabanders is difficult, despite our economic successes. Energy prices and food prices are going through the roof. Finding an affordable home is getting close to impossible. Even people with a job have difficulties paying the bills. Thats unacceptable.

As PvdA Brabant we focus on building more affordable homes and cheaper energy. The bills need to go down fast. We can achieve this by building a sustainable energy network and helping people getting access to sustainable solutions helping them to lower the bills. Furthermore, public transport, education and health services should be accessible to everyone.

Provide good public transportation. In our cities and villages. Schools and hospitals must be in reach for everyone.

On March 15, a vote for PvdA Brabant means a vote on a sustainable and affordable future for everone. Not everyone for him or herself, but unity and togetherness. We go for the interest of all, not one. Together with you we build a healthy Brabant.

Sustainable water for present and future generations

A good balance of the water distribution has always been the key to guarantee the liveability of our neighbourhoods. Nowadays, due to climate change we are challenged to adapt our mindset and our water system to guarantee our feet dry during winter and retain enough water for everyone in the summer.

Currently, the citizens and villagers are paying disproportionately higher water taxes in comparison with agricultural businesses and companies, while the last ones are producing more pollution. I commit to a social and sustainable water policy based on the “Polluter pays principle”, those with the broadest shoulders need to bear the heaviest load.
